Montreal based guitarist and composer Francis Leclerc is pleased to announce the release of his first album Roots Crossing, available on February 6th 2015 at www.francisleclerc.ca.

Roots Crossing
is a guitar music album by guitarist and composer Francis Leclerc. It includes six original compositions and two songs from singer-songwriter Richard Desjardins adapted for guitar. Inspired by multiple sources (flamenco and Brasilian guitar, pop and north american folk music), the album conveys the artist’s own themes such as country life, solitude, belonging, meeting, joyfulness, and resilience. Roots Crossing intends a stronghold upon our memories and values and those of others to create new chronicles through music. To hear the first excerpt of the album, the piece «Ainsi soit-il», go to http://francisleclerc.ca/.

Francis Leclerc is a guitarist, composer, arranger and ethnomusicologist. Holding a degree in classical guitar, he specialized in flamenco guitar and is now exploring a wide variety of fingerstyle guitar styles from which he draws his inspiration to compose.
